Label all the parts, decide and write on the inside so you don't have to worry about sanding them off.
Draw out where the rabbets and dados will go.
Cut Rabbets on edge first.
Cut in Dado
Adjust Fence 1/32" so that the lid piece slides easily and cut again.
Dry Assemble to check fit
3/4" Stick for Handle, (Long for Safety)
Roundover using push stick.
Roudover the ends with Miter Gauge
Chop to Needed Length
Find Center
Center Punch
Drill to correct depth with correct bit.
Find Center of board.
Center Punch and Drill
Get Dowel from Duff and Glue
Press Fit and Cleanup Glue
Use multitool to cut dowel flush.
Find center on both ends of rotating piece.
Grab an 8d 2-3/8" nail.
Cut to 3/4" using bolt cutters.
Hammer into center until 1/4" is sticking out the top.
Use needle nose Pliers to hold when hammering.
Use a vice to center punch and hammer the other side.
Use a file to cleanup any rough edges of the nail.
Label which way is the front and layout where the holes need to be drilled on Part A.
Drill Holes to Correct Depth.
Use pliers to bend 90 degrees into sheet metal strip.
Dry assemble and ben sheet metal by hand.
Use needle nose pliers to put a tight loop on the end. (Needed for hooking the ring on.)
Round Front Corner on Belt Sander
Touch the side of the lid to make sure it slides well.
Router the edges.
Finish before these steps.
Tie a loop onto a piece of string. Hook it on have it hang out the front of the box.
Test and determine where the string will work the best.
